X-League Details
2026 Winter League begins January 8th and runs through March 26th!
Format
The Thursday Night X-League is a 3-Player Team Format. The season will last 12 weeks.
The Format is 9-hole NET stroke play. Players are ranked by Handicap, and team matches will be A vs. A, B vs. B and C vs. C. Each match is worth 1 point. An additional 1 bonus point is available for the team that has the lowest combined NET score.
In the event of a Tie, their head-to-head matchup in the playoffs will determine who advances to final.
Local Rules
(Rule 1) Max Handicap for Men is 15, Women is 15.
(Rule 2) ***Players with a +2 Handicap or Better*** You have the option to Play from the Blue Tees at a +2, or the White Tee with your Normal Handicap. You must announce your intention to the X-Golf Staff Prior to tee off so they may override your handicap.
(Rule 3) Misread Mulligan Rule: ***NEW WINTER 2026*** Only “Well Struck” shots where opposing players agree the ball was struck on the clubface directly will be eligible for mulligans. Only an X-Golf Employee can approve any additional mulligans caused by hardware errors. See examples of misread scenarios below.
Teams must agree that these scenarios occur before allowing the mulligan. Disputes will be handled by X-Golf Staff.
Pre-Play/Post-Play/Substitutions
For the Winter 2026 league season, ONLY PRE-PLAY and SUBSTITUTES are allowed to count as league rounds. We will not allow any players, under any circumstances, to make-up a league round to count towards the league points standings after league night. We will, however, provide some complimentary time at a reasonable time to make-up for the lost week. For each missed week, league members may request a 30-Minute Complimentary simulator rental. Those requests must be made to the league administrator (contact information below).

Absolutely! Our goal is to encourage new players to the game. Please advise when you book that you are a beginner and we can arrange to spend a little extra time with you. You can also book your first time at an X-Golf with a PGA teaching professional to go through the fundamentals of holding clubs to the basic swing.
Yes, we encourage players to bring their own clubs, though rental clubs are available.
The fee is for the simulator time, regardless of how many people are playing and it is not per person. Each individual can finish 18 holes in about one hour (or two people can play 9 holes each in about one hour). If you add more people it will take 1 hour per person added to play 18 holes.
No need, the simulator has its own tee built into the system…plus it collects and tees the balls automatically.
Yes, all locations have rentals. Check with your preferred location on pricing.
Yes. We welcome children of all ages.
Generally it takes 1 hour for an individual player to play 18 holes. If you have more than one player you may want to book an additional hour for each player in your group, but skill level can have an effect on pace of play.
Booking a tee time is highly recommended either online or calling your preferred location. Most X-Golf locations frequently sell out during busy times/weekends.
Gift cards are available and can be purchased at the preferred location or digitally online.
Golf shoes with soft spikes only are allowed (please make sure they are clean) but tennis shoes work great on the artificial turf, as well.
No we supply the golf balls and the automatic tee system.
