Any customer with an X-Golf handicap on the X-Golf App can be used to start week 1. If a player is new to X-Golf, he or she, will need to record 2 – 9 hole rounds on the front and back of Kapalua. If no handicap has been established prior to league start the player’s handicap will be zero to start the league. Download the X-Golf App and make a profile. Schedule your tee time to set your handicap – tell the Sim Caddie and you will receive 50% off your tee time since it is for league purposes

Handicap Calculation
The procedure we use closely follows the USGA handicap. We will use a maximum of the last 8 most recent 9 hole rounds.
Starting Times
League start times are firm. Once league night begins, each team will have 10 minutes to warm up for a combined total of 20 minutes. Matches are to start promptly 20 minutes from league start. If all players are ready and present the teams can waive any practice time and start.
If any player arrives late (after the allotted warm-up) but before completion of hole# 3 they will incur a one time 2 stroke penalty and be allowed to finish the holes they missed at the conclusion of the match. If the player arrives after the completion of hole#3 they will automatically concede their individual match.
Substitutions & Pre-Play
If a player is unable to make their designated league night, they may pre-play their league round up to 1 week in advance. They must inform the staff & league director that they are pre-playing their league round, follow all league rules and responsible for staff recording their league score. As an alternative option, the team can have a substitute player take their place. All substitutes will play as zero handicap
*Normal simulator rental applies to all rounds being pre-played outside of designated league schedule
Regular Season & Playoffs
Season Standings – Points will be accumulated throughout the season and used to determine which teams make the playoffs.
The top 2 or 4 teams (depending upon the league size) will make the finals with a final match 1 vs 4 and 2 vs 3 to determine the league winner (or 1 vs 2).
For teams with a tiebreaker the following will determine the order:
Total team wins, Total Individual match win, Total team draws, Total Individual match draws, Tied Team’s Regular Season Matchup, Tied Team’s Regular Season Individual Matches, Coin Flip
There will no substitutions for the playoffs. It is strongly encouraged that all players are present and no pre-played rounds occur.
Any match that ends in a tie will proceed to sudden death with each team’s A player playing until a winner is determined (strokes will be given based upon handicap).

Absolutely! Our goal is to encourage new players to the game. Please advise when you book that you are a beginner and we can arrange to spend a little extra time with you. You can also book your first time at an X-Golf with a PGA teaching professional to go through the fundamentals of holding clubs to the basic swing.
Yes, we encourage players to bring their own clubs, though rental clubs are available.
The fee is for the simulator time, regardless of how many people are playing and it is not per person. Each individual can finish 18 holes in about one hour (or two people can play 9 holes each in about one hour). If you add more people it will take 1 hour per person added to play 18 holes.
No need, the simulator has its own tee built into the system…plus it collects and tees the balls automatically.
Yes, all locations have rentals. Check with your preferred location on pricing.
Yes. We welcome children of all ages.
Generally it takes 1 hour for an individual player to play 18 holes. If you have more than one player you may want to book an additional hour for each player in your group, but skill level can have an effect on pace of play.
Booking a tee time is highly recommended either online or calling your preferred location. Most X-Golf locations frequently sell out during busy times/weekends.
Gift cards are available and can be purchased at the preferred location or digitally online.
Golf shoes with soft spikes only are allowed (please make sure they are clean) but tennis shoes work great on the artificial turf, as well.
No we supply the golf balls and the automatic tee system.
