X-League Handicapping
First Three weeks of play will establish handicap, then first 3 week of scores will be back calculated to determine scoring

Every week all players’ handicaps will be adjusted based on their 4 lowest scores from their previous ten rounds of league play.
Use the difference between the score and the par for the course played that week.
Example – Par 72, player shoots 76, 4 is the number that would be used in the handicap calculation.
If ten rounds have not been completed, handicaps will be best 1 score of 2/3 rounds, best 2 scores of 4-6 rounds, best 3 scores of 6-8 rounds, and 4 best of 9 rounds.
The best scores being used will then be averaged.
Teeing Areas
Players will play the Teeing Area Listed below for Summer X-League play.
Men – Blues
Ladies – Reds
Seniors – Whites – 70 or older may play White Tees but not required
General Rules of Play
If any shot is not calculated, it will not be recorded as a stroke and another shot must be taken with no penalty
Unless using a Driver on the tee box, hitting off the tee is not permitted.
Intentional use of the “C” button to view putts is NOT ALLOWED and if used will result in one PENALTY STROKE.
The ball moved off the putting tee cannot be moved more than 1” from that black putting mark.
Mulligans are not allowed. However, Mulligans may potentially be allowed only under circumstances where either a System Error has occurred, or a player has made a mistake that caused an unintended stroke to occur.
There are 5 scenarios in which Mulligans are permitted in League play: Mulligan Button may then be used to reset play without penalty. Violations of the Mulligan rule will result in a 1 or 2 stroke penalty based on the severity of the occurrence and excessive use of this rule will lead to disqualification.
(1) A shot or a swing is registered by the simulator without the ball being struck
(2) A simulator hardware error occurs, creating a Moon Shot or a shot registered at a maximum ball speed (around 200 MPH)
(3) Fringe Setting on the system is automatically set to PUTTER, and a player using an alternative club, may not be aware or may have forgotten to change the club selection in the system before the shot – Should another instance occur within the round, the player must play where the ball it lies.
(4) If a Player inadvertently hits a shot out of turn, a Mulligan may be used to return to the original condition of play. The committee may impose a 1 Stroke Penalty to the player for each occurrence.
(5) – Misread of a quality shot reported by the Player due to a potential miscalculation by the Spin Camera.
Go to MENU>ANALYSIS>SPIN TAB and review the image on the upper right-hand corner.
A misread has occurred when any less than 3 balls (for anything other than when a putter is selected) are captured on the spin image or when negative backspin numbers are present. The Committee may also review any Backspin/Sidespin miscalculations by the system and make rulings as necessary.
Substitutes/Forfeits/Preplay
Substitutes are allowed at any time during the league but must be reported to committee before play
Teams may Preplay for all weeks leading up to the playoffs.

Kellie Cohen
I am visiting IL from AZ where I play golf weekly. A friend told me about X-Golf and Chris giving lessons. In less than an hour he identified my biggest issue and helped me work on fixing that part of my swing. He gave me drills i can do on…
Earl Homeyer
Totally pleasant and professional staff, and aesthetically modern open design that is functional and spacious. Will definitely advise anyone interested in playing indoor golf on numerous courses that is the place to be.
Absolutely! Our goal is to encourage new players to the game. Please advise when you book that you are a beginner and we can arrange to spend a little extra time with you. You can also book your first time at an X-Golf with a PGA teaching professional to go through the fundamentals of holding clubs to the basic swing.
Yes, we encourage players to bring their own clubs, though rental clubs are available.
The fee is for the simulator time, regardless of how many people are playing and it is not per person. Each individual can finish 18 holes in about one hour (or two people can play 9 holes each in about one hour). If you add more people it will take 1 hour per person added to play 18 holes.
No need, the simulator has its own tee built into the system…plus it collects and tees the balls automatically.
Yes, all locations have rentals. Check with your preferred location on pricing.
Yes. We welcome children of all ages.
Generally it takes 1 hour for an individual player to play 18 holes. If you have more than one player you may want to book an additional hour for each player in your group, but skill level can have an effect on pace of play.
Booking a tee time is highly recommended either online or calling your preferred location. Most X-Golf locations frequently sell out during busy times/weekends.
Gift cards are available and can be purchased at the preferred location or digitally online.
Golf shoes with soft spikes only are allowed (please make sure they are clean) but tennis shoes work great on the artificial turf, as well.
No we supply the golf balls and the automatic tee system.
